Judith "Judy" H. Krough, 65, of Story City, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will follow the service in Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City.

Judy Krough was born March 24, 1943, in Minneapolis, to George and Violet (Johnson) Hoover. She worked for the Ames Community School District for six years and for the Iowa Department of Transportation for 27 years. She married Robert Krough Oct. 10, 1981. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed volunteering at Cedar Place, playing bridge and reading books.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Story City; her daughter, Chris Harris, of Story City; her son, Scott Stephens, of Randall; stepdaughters, Deb Krough, of Coos Bay, Ore., and Diane Boughton, of Montezuma; her stepson, Todd Krough, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; her brother, George Hoover, of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be designated for Bethany Manor or Bethel Lutheran Church.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
