HOLD RITES TUES. FOR NEVADA WOMAN

NEVADA — Funeral services for Mrs. Phil Hass, resident of Nevada for 58 years who died Sunday at her home here were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Bishop mortuary. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Hass was a native of Iowa. She was born Nov. 28, 1852, eldest of six children of William and Mary Higgins and was married to Phillip Hass in Scott county March 9, 1873. Four children were born to this union. They are, Mrs. Elizabeth Crawford of near Gilbert, Frederick who died in 1930, Mrs. Belle Henrehan and Miss Bessie Hass both of Nevada.

Mr. and Mrs. Hass and children came to Story county in March 1878 and settled on a farm east of Nevada. Later they moved to Cambridge and then to Gilbert. They established their permanent home in Nevada in 1897.

Surviving besides her husband and three daughters are four grandchildren, Ray Crawford of Gilbert, Phillip Henrehan, of Nevada, Mrs. Viola Rowe of Ames and Mrs. Bertha Thompson of Butte, Mont.
