Cambridge - Harvey Weatherman, Jr., 78, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Indianola, Iowa. There will be no services. A Time of Gathering was held Sunday, November 2nd at Dorcus Hall in Cambridge, Iowa.

Harvey was born July 17, 1930 in Cambridge, Iowa, the son of Harvey, Sr. and Anna (Porth) Weatherman. He married Lola Rumbaugh on August 26, 1954 at Ames, Iowa. She preceded him in death on October 11, 1989.

He was a veteran and served with the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a carpenter.

Harvey was a life time member of the Cambridge American Legion. He loved his grand kids; enjoyed fishing, hunting and chocolate cake.

Survivors include two sons: Jim Weatherman of Huxley, Iowa; Tom (Tracy) Weatherman of Frankfurt, Germany; two daughters: Jackie (Les) Rounds of Maxwell, Debbie (Michael) Murray-John of Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren; one sister: Betty (Howard) Fry of Des Moines.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers: Bob, Jim, Darrell and Bill; and one sister, Bonnie Huston.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
