Mrs. Shearer At Collins Sat.
COLLINS — Funeral services for Mrs. L. D. Shearer, 71, who died at her home near here late Thursday, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. from the First Methodist church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Shearer had been in poor health for some time but had been seriously ill only a week.
Born Elizabeth Lillian Ozmun, March 22, 1864 in the Indian Creek community, daughter of Oliver and Penelope Ozmun, she moved with her parents to the Ozmun homestead near Collins when a small child. She was married December 25, 1884, to L. D. Shearer of Collins and had lived for the past 45 years, with the exception of six years spent in Montana, on the farm where she died.
She is survived by four children: Mrs. Clara Serbein of Collins, Mrs. Myrtle Bisnecker of Lake Wods, Fla., J. Oliver of Waterloo and Paul L. of Spencer. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Carl E. Warren of Pekoa, Wash., and a brother, J. L. Ozmun of Ronan, Mont.
