Story City Man Takes Own Life by Hanging Thu.
STORY CITY - Private funeral services will be held here Saturday afternoon for Harry Kristensen, who committed suicide by hanging Thursday morning. His body was found shortly before noon hanging from a beam on the east end of the M. and St. L. railroad bridge by two tramps coming into town.
Mr. Kristensen, who was known to have been subject to spells of despondency in the past several years, usually took a walk every morning before breakfast, returning home about 8 a. m. Thursday morning he started out as usual, but when he did not return, searching parties were sent to look for him. The searchers were unsuccessful, and his whereabouts were unknown until the two tramps reported to the mayor's office.
The body will be taken to Randall for burial. The Rev. G. O. Paulsrud will be in charge of services.
Mr. Kristensen is survived by his wife, a small daughter, Evelyn, and his aged mother, Mrs. Sam Kristensen, who has been bedfast for years.
