MRS. HARRIET WIER DIES AT STORY CITY
STORY CITY — Mrs. Harriet Weir, 69, died about 8:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Story City hospital, where she had been a patient since July 3. Death, was due to complications caused by a broken hip suffered July 1 while she was visiting a son, Arne, at Omaha.
Born in Indiana in 1866, Mrs. Weir moved to Story City in 1902 from a farm east of here, where she had resided several years. Her husband died in April, 1916.
The following children survive: L. F. Weir of Boone, Mrs. D. W. Larson of Des Moines, Mrs. Hans
O. Jacobson of Rice Lake, Wis., Arne of Omaha and Harry of Story City. She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs, Alice Clapp of State Line, Ind., Mrs. Ed Williams of Lafayette, Ind., Mrs. A. E. Wheeler of Hoopston, Ill., and Grant Myers of Lanville, Ill.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Grace Evangelical church and burial will be in the Story City cemetery.
