THE AMES TRIBUME, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, September 28, 2008.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldora. Burial will be in the Hubbard Cemetery in Hubbard. Friends may call at Boeke Funeral Home in Hubbard, Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 28, 2008. Family will be present from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil at 5:30 p.m. Boeke Funeral Home of Hubbard in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Steven "Chicklet" Weig was born on January 26, 1955 in Algona. He was one of 10 children born to Edward and Adeline (Drummer) Weig. On Nov. 18, 1978, he was united in marriage to Barb Luhman. After a year long battle with Leukemia and two transplants, death came to Ronnie on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife, Barb, of Hubbard; two daughters, Amanda Weig and friend Bill, of Marshalltown, and Angie Cook and her husband, Jared, of rural Union; one son, Adam Weig, of Hubbard, and his fiancé, Kayleigh Epps; five sisters; and four brothers.
