THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, September 24, 2008.

Sylvia Kleppin, 94, of Ames, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Riverside Manor in Ames. Private memorial services will be in Ames.

Sylvia Kleppin was born June 25, 1914, in Chicago, the daughter of Darwin and Sylvia Sanderson. She married Fred Kleppin on May 28, 1938, in Chicago, where they lived until moving to Rockford, Ill., in 1951. They moved to Ames in 2004.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; and two daughters, Sandra (Dale) Lewis, of El Paso, Texas, and Susan Wuhs, of Ames. She also is survived by three grandchildren, Katherine Wuhs, of Boone, Steven (Kim) Wuhs, of California, and Brad Wuhs, of West Des Moines; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established with Homeward Hospice of Ames.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
