David Tolley, 70, of Colo, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Riverside Manor in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday Sept. 22, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg. Burial will be in Warren Township Cemetery in McCallsburg.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg.

Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing is in charge of arrangements.

David Jon Tolley, 70, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Riverside Manor in Ames. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg.

David was born May 27, 1938, in McCallsburg, to Noel T. and Leona (Johnson) Tolley. He graduated from McCallsburg High School in 1957. He worked at Nevada Fruit and Grocery, then went to work at Iowa State University, from which he retired in 2000.

He is survived by one brother, Gary (Pam) Tolley, of Colo; two aunts, Blanche (Milford) Nessa, of Garden City, and Karry-Marie (Alex Hernandez) Vasey, of Des Moines; five nieces; four nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel T. and Leona Tolley; one brother, La Dean Tolley; and grandparents, Albert and Carrie Tolley, and Pete and Sadie Johnson.

Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing is in charge of arrangements.
