Lowell F. Jordison, 94, formerly of Ames, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Heart of Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, Mo. Services were Saturday, Aug. 23, at Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava, Mo.

Lowell F. Jordison was born Feb. 23, 1914, in Coalville, the son of William C. Jordison and Flossie E. (Enfield) Jordison. He married Ann D. Wentorf Feb. 14, 1936, in Dayton. Lowell and Ann were blessed with two children. Before retirement, he was self-employed as an electrical contractor in Ames, where he lived for more than 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ann, of Ava, Mo.; one daughter, Lo Ann Byers, of Ava, Mo.; one son, L. Dean Jordison and his wife, Mary, of Gilbert; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elbert (Marie) Jordison and Raymond (Betty) Jordison, of Fort Dodge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
