Zearing Woman Hangs Herself
Found Dead in Garage; Despondency Is Blamed for Act
ZEARING — Mrs. Will Wykle, 40, hung herself in the garage in the rear of her home about 8 o'clock Monday morning. Despondency was blamed for the act.
Mrs. Wykle formerly Miss Carrie Lutz, was married Thanksgiving day last year to Will Wykie of Radcliffe, a retired farmer. The couple returned only recently from a honeymoon in California.
The body was discovered by a sister, Miss Nettie Lutz, about 15 minutes after Mrs. Wykle left the house. Nettie called a neighbor Mrs. A. D. Hix and they called a doctor but Mrs. Wykle was pronounced dead. Mr. and Mrs. Wykle lived with Mrs. Wykie's mother, Mrs. J. W. Lutz, in the south part of Zearing.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Evangelical church here.
Mrs. Wykle was of a nervous temperament and relatives believe that acute melancholia caused the suicide. She left no note. No inquest was held.
