LAST RITES ARE HELD FOR DOROTHY BALDUS

LAFAYETTE TWP. — Numerous friends and relatives attended the funeral services of Dorothy Baldus, six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Baldus of Lafayette township, who died Wednesday following an appendicitis operation, Saturday morning at the S. S. Peter and Paul's Roman Catholic church in Lafayette township.
Father Gorman read the "Mass of the Angels" and the choir sang several selections accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Neil Hougland. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery near the church.
Dorothy was born February 20, 1924 and would have been seven years of age next week. She was in the primary grade in the Lafayette township school.
Besides her parents, two sisters and eight brothers survive. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Garland of Boone also survive.
Pall bearers were Edward Wirth, Frank Baldus, David McCoy and Arthur Uthe.
Those present at the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baldus of Hollandale, Minn.; Leo Baldus of Garner, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Corbin of Nevada, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Jordan of Boone, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Garland and Mr. and Mrs. George Fitzgerald of near Boone, Dr. A. L. Dorn, Edward Charlson, Cris Johnson and J. A. B. Larson of Story City.
