Tribune-Times County News Service

ROLAND, Jan. 17. - T. A. Sorem, 62, native of Norway, and one of the most respected citizens of Roland, died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines Thursday evening from complications following an operation for pyloric obstruction Monday. Mr. Sorem's death was sudden as he seemed to be improved immediately following the operation.

Funeral services will probably be held sometime Monday but no definite time has been set because of the condition of the roads around Roland. The body was brought to Roland about 1:30
o'clock this morning.

Besides his wife, Mr. Sorem is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Andrew J. Shold, of Roland and Mrs. H. Tjelmand of Garden City.

Mr. Sorem was a deacon of the Salem church for many years.

AMES DAILY TRIBUNE-TIMES, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, January 18, 1930.

Services for T. A. Sorem who died at Des Moines Thursday evening will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Salem church.
