W. P. George, Former Ames Man, Is Dead
Funeral Services for W. P. George, 73 years old, who died Sunday at his home in Des Moines, were held Monday in Des Moines. Burial was in Laurel Hill cemetery.
Mr. George, who formerly lived south of Ames, died after a week's illness with pneumonia. Hi is survived by his wife, a son, Max, at home, and three daughters, Mrs. Harry Warner, Mrs. Clarence Gould, and Mrs. Arville De Pue, all of Des Moines.
The pallbearers at his funeral were U. S. Giffith, C. E. Arrasmith, O. L. Yeomans, Ben Fincham, H. Nowlin, and C. E. Farnum, all of Ames.
