Emma Mae Buttry died Saturday
Mrs. Emma Mae Buttry, 84, Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Zearing, died there June 7.
Services are Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Stevens Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Donald Forbes of Calvary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial is in the Colo Cemetery.
Mrs. Buttry was born June 28, 1890 in Lebanon, Va. She and William Buttry were married Feb. 19, 1908 in Lebanon. Mrs. Buttry came to Story County in 1913, settling near Colo. She lived in Ames from 1939 until June 1973 when she moved to Zearing.
Surviving are thre sons, Roy I., Nevada; Russell W., Anaheim, Calif. and Carl L., 603 Ridgewood Ave.; three daughters, Mrs. Lola Barr, Florida; Mrs. Ruby Christian, Colo and Mrs. Beulah Van Scoy, 626 13th St.; a sister; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in April 1969 and two sons, Doyle and Wayne.
Friends may call at Stevens Memorial Chapel Monday afternoon until time of service.
