Sept. 28, 1980-July 27, 2008
LaCrissa Trevette Hall, "Crissy," was born Sept. 28, 1980, to Lynetta Hall in Chicago. LaCrissa was the oldest of six children. At an early age, she confessed faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized into The Church of Christ with The Elijah Message. She was a product of the Chicago Public School System. She attended Hendricks Academy, Curie High School and Corliss High School. She furthered her education at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill.
In 2001, she rededicated her life to Christ and became a member of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago.
Anyone who knew her knew her love for singing. She was a member of various choirs, such as The Chicago Children's Choir, Hendrick's Gospel Choir and Curie's Concert Choir. At many family events, she was known to lift her voice in song proclaiming that she'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold.
She also was a very comical person. She always had jokes and loved to make people laugh.
She was very family-oriented. She would do anything and everything for her family.
She was united in holy matrimony to Darnell P. Davis Feb. 28, 2004.
In 2007, she moved her four children to Ames so they could lead a better life. It was there that she began working at Casey's General Store.
People from all walks of life can attest to the fact that you could not know Crissy and not love her.
On July 27, 2008, the angel that we know as LaCrissa T. Davis completed her journey on earth.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Darnell P. Davis Sr.; one son, Darnell P. Davis Jr.; three daughters, O'Shea L. Ross, LaTiya D. Ross (Damien Ross, father) and J' Shauna J. Moton (James Moton Jr., father); parents, Lynetta and Lawrence Parrott; three sisters, LeAndra Hall, Letha Parrott and Angel Johnson; four brothers, Lionel Hall, Lennel Hall (Michelle), Lawrence A.
