THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, July 26, 2008.

David L. Olson, 64, of Boone, passed away early Friday morning, July 25, at Boone County Hospital. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 28, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Visitation with family will be one hour prior the service.

David worked at various grocery stores in Story City, 11 years at Pioneer Grocery, owned Dave's Foodland in Grand Junction, and later on worked at Cub Foods in Ames.

He is survived by two sisters, Deborah Olson, of Story City, and Kathy (Gaylen) Johnson, of Grinnell; one brother, Maynard Olson, of Story City; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Boone County Hospital.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is handling the arrangements.
