The funeral of Mrs. Henry Davis took place at the M. E. church of Pleasant Grove Monday afternoon, Rev. Cox, minister, and Mr. Elliott, of Ames, undertaker. Mrs. Davis was born at Binghampton, N. Y. in the year 1822, moved to Michigan in 1855, where she was united in marriage with Mr. Davis. After a few years the family came to Iowa, locating first at Clinton, and in 1872 coming to Story county. Mrs. Davis was converted and united with the M. E. Church nearly 60 years ago. Those who knew her best loved her most.
