Ila Mae Buck, 96, of Collins, died Wednesday at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames of heart failure. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Collins United Methodist Church in Collins. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.
Ila Mae Buck was born in rural Collins. She was a homemaker. She married Floyd Atwood. He died in 1965. She then married
Granger Buck. He died in 1998. She served on the Collins Library Board, was a member of Collins United Methodist Church, Freeland-Carver American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 81 in Collins, OES No. 271 in Colo, Collins Tuesday Bridge Club and the Collins Garden Club.She is survived by two daughters, Carol Head of Madison, N.J., and Linda Lein of Cedar Falls; two sons, Bill Atwood and Gene Atwood of rural Collins; three stepdaughters, Barbara Kingman and Dorothy Atwood of rural Collins and Janet Krause of Des Moines; one stepson, Chris Buck of Minnetonka, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Collins United Methodist Church in Collins. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Collins United Methodist Church.
Fredregill Funeral Home in Collins is in charge of arrangements.
