Died Sunday

Mrs. Alpha May Atwood, 78, life-time resident of the Mingo community, passed away early Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Salmon, in Perry, following a short illness. She had been in Perry for the past two months.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Cooper-Moore, Funeral home in Maxwell with the Rev. Mallinckrodt in charge. Burial was in the Collins cemetery by the side of the husband, the late Richard Atwood, who died May 15, 1939.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Salmon and Mrs. Wesley Baldwin of Des Moines; one son, Jefferson Atwood of Glendale, Calif.; three brothers, Elmer and Howard Jones of Alberta, Canada, and John Jones of Alva, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. John Graham of Roseville, Calif., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
