E. G. ARRASMITH DIED MONDAY
Elijah G. Arrasmith, 58, member of one of Story county's pioneer families, died of paralysis at his home three miles northeast of Ames Monday afternoon. He had been ill for nearly ten months.
Mr. Arrasmith was born and raised in Story county and with the exception of several years spent on a farm near Stanhope, spent his entire life in the county. At the time of his death he was operating the old James Carpenter farm. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Arrasmith, one of the oldest and most influential Story county pioneer families.
He is survived by his wife and three children, Alva of Webster City, Lillie and Ruth at home; and three brothers, Charles of Boone and William and George of near McCallsburg.---from the Story City Herald 10/23/1930
