Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Reid attended the funeral of Dave Spencer, which was held at the Pleasant Grove chruch Sunday afternoon. Mr. Spencer was the father of the late Mrs. E. W. Sanders, sister-in-law of Mrs. Reid. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Calvin Randall at Hollandale, Minn. The undertaker of Albert Lea, Minn., brought the remains down Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Randall, two daughters and two sons came down to the E. W. Sanders home Saturday. Arthur Spencer and daughter from Wisconsin came Saturday also. Rev. Hunmel of Ames, pastor of the Congregational church at Gilbert, had charge of the services. Interment took place in the cemetery by the church where his wife and three children, who had preceded him in death, are buried.
