Patrick J. Nolan, 75, rural Story City, died at his home Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1982. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, from Grace United Methodist Church, Story City. The Rev. Harley Carbaugh was in charge. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, south of Story City.
Mr. Nolan was born Oct. 22, 1906, to Patrick and Mary Nolan at Formoso, Kan. On June 27, 1936, he married Marie Hughes. They farmed in the Luther and Story City area all their married life. They owned and operated the Nolan Pumpkin Patch on their farm south of Story City.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; a son John, Maderia, Calif.; a daughter, Jean Larson, Spokane, Wash.; four grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters.
