Doris Sharp, 90, of Ames, died Monday, June 30, at home. Arrangements are pending with Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, July 5, 2008.

Doris Sharp, 90, of Ames, died at home on June 30. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Todd Jenks officiating.

Burial will be in the Clinton-Garfield Cemetery in Rolfe.

Doris was born in Rolfe on Nov. 13, 1917, to B.C. and Martha Idella (Twig) Budolfson. She married Raymond Sharp on June 27, 1938 in Rolfe. She was a teacher's aide in the Eagle Grove Community Schools. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge, served on the Webster County Board of Extension, taught Sunday School, enjoyed playing bridge and was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining.

She is survived by three children, Janice Sharp, of Ottawa, Ill., Jerald Sharp, of Grand Lake, Colo., and Joan Ingwersen, of Ames; four grandchildren, Bruce Sharp, of Omaha, Lisa Burns, of Tucson, Ariz., Darren Sharp, of Olathe, Kan., Bill Ingwersen, of Atlanta, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward Budolfson, Christian Budolfson and Albert Budolfson; and one sister, Marie Budolfson.
