THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, June 15, 2008.
Lucille Kathryn Eatwell, 89, of Maxwell, died Friday, June 13, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Maxwell United Methodist Church in Maxwell. Burial will be in Maxwell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell.
Lucille was born June 18, 1918, in Maxwell, the daughter of Albert and Kathryn Kiefer Link. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1937. She worked in Des Moines for Home Mutual Insurance Company. She married Loren Eatwell Feb. 8, 1953, at Peoria Methodist Church near Maxwell. Two children, Lorie and Lindy, were born to this union. She was a member of Maxwell United Methodist Church, the UMW and Alpha Delphia Club. She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking cookies and cross stitching.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Loren, of Maxwell; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Lindy and Vicki Eatwell, of St. James, Minn.; one son-in-law, Clint Luscombe, of West Des Moines; four grandchildren: Nathaniel Eatwell, Quinlan Eatwell, Allison Luscombe and Ryan Luscombe; one sister, Betty Enfield, of Maxwell; and one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Alvera Link, of Maxwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lorie Luscombe in 2004; two sisters; and six brothers.
Memorials may be made to Israel Family Hospice House or to a church of the donor's choice.
Bacon Funeral Home of Maxwell is in charge of arrangements.
