Mrs. J. B. Swearinger died at her home near Soper's mill Wednesday of last week. Funeral services were held in the Pleasant Grove church on Friday conducted by Rev. F. R. McIntire. Mr. Swearinger and the four children have the sympathy of all the people, especially in the vicinity of Pleasant Grove and Pleasant Chapel churches.
Miss Emma F. Thraff was born over fifty years ago in Licking county, Ohio. She became a Christian at the age of sixteen and continued in the faith throughout her life. In 1867 she was married to J. B. Swearinger to whom four children were born.
