John Logan Bibby, 82, of Nevada, died Thursday, April 12, 1984, at the Oak Park Care Center.
Services will held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Ryan Funeral Home with speaker Jim Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
John Bibby was born on March 26, 1902, to Thomas and Alice (Graham) Bibby in Forbush. He was married to Irene Sibley on June 30, 1935, in Ames. Mr. Bibby had lived in Story County for all of his married life and was employed as a construction worker and then a shop mechanic for Story County until his retirement in 1970.
Mr. Bibby is survived by his wife, Irene; one daughter, Carol French of Nevada; one sister, Geneva Rothwell of San Antonio, Texas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
