Mrs. Edna G. Christy of Nevada died Friday evening at the Story County Hospital at the age of 102. Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Marvin L. Hulse officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
Born on Dec. 6, 1875 in Champaign County, Ill., she was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Elliott. She had been a resident of Story County for the past 70 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church, a past member of the Eastern Star and a long time member of the Milford Club.
She is survived by one son, David Keith Christy of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; one grandson, Bill D. Christy of Colo; five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, five sisters, one grandson, one son - Carl S. Christy and her husband, David O. Christy.
