Nora Libelia Foote was born near Story City Nov. 13, 1859; died at Mercy hospital, Des Moines, Feb. 15, 1922. She was married to Will W. Childs, Feb. 13, 1883, and they had one daughter, now Mrs. Vera Templeton. Early in her life Mrs. Childs became a Christian, and thruout her life she remained a devoted, loyal worker in all departments of church life. She was at the time of her death president of the aid society and had the work outlined to make this their greatest year. She will be greatly missed in all the work of the Christian church of which she was a member. Funeral services were held at the church Sunday at 2:30, conducted by H. A. Browning, and were attended by a large crowd of friends and relatives. Beside the husband and daughter, Mrs. Childs leaves one sister, Mrs. Ella Loucks of Ames, two brothers, George M Foote of Ames, and Orville Foote of Canada.
Relatives from out of town who attedned the funeral yesterday were: Miss Minnie May Hodges, Marian, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Aldus Childs, Grinnell; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Childs, Grinnel; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Childs, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Childs and family of Nevada; Earl Steavens, Ottumwa; Charles Glasco, Des Moines; Bert Foval, Jewell Junction; Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Wax, Maxwell; Mr and Mrs. Harold Boomberg, Zearing; Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Martin, Maxwell; Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Schoonover and family of Colo; Mrs. Nancy Martin of Colo; her husband, W. W. Childs of Ames; Mrs. Vera Templeton; one sister, Mrs. Ella Loucks, and two brothers, George M. Foote of Ames, and Orville Foote of Canada.---from a local newspaper
