Erma Fast, 93 of Boone, died Sunday, May 25, at Boone County Hospital in Boone. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone with David Borsos officiating. Interment will be in Gilbert Cemetery.

She was born on July 15, 1914 near Cuba, Mo., to Clarence and Russie (Garrett) Steele.

She is survived by three daughters; Norma Fast, of Beaver, Carol Lamer and husband, Leon, of Marshalltown, Elizabeth Browning and husband, Rick, of Boone; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eugenia Letterman, of Ames.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; one brother; and three sisters.

Friends may call the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone from 6 to 8 tonight and from 8 a.m. 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The family will be present between 6 to 7 tonight at Stark-Welin Chapel to greet friends.
