Arnold Sorenson, 76, of Story City, died Tuesday, May 6, at home. Funeral services are pending with Soderstrum Funeral Home.

Arnold Clifford Sorenson, 76, of Story City, died Tuesday, May 6, at home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Burial with military rites will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

Arnold Clifford Sorenson was born April 19, 1932, in Story County, to Soren and Lulu (Hufmaster) Sorenson. He worked as a plumber for Van Voorhis in Ames for 16 years and for Ames Community School District for 23 years. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by one son, Terry Sorenson, of Story City; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kathy Saldana; three brothers, Edward, Dick and John; three sisters, Beatrice, Esther Fourbell and Marie White; and one niece, Lonnie Sue.
