Harold C. DeVoogd, 71, of Boone, died Sunday, April 27, at Boone County Hospital in Boone. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall streets in Boone. Following the service, military honors will be conducted by the Boone Veterans Council at the Veterans Monument in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. At the conclusion of the military honors, his body will be cremated.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be used at its discretion.
