THE ROLAND RECORD, Roland, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, March 21, 1895.

Gerhard Lein, youngest son of Askel Lein and wife, died friday morning from puenmonia and pleuresy. The funeral services were conducted Monday by Rev. Smedal, at the west church and was largely attended. The deceased was a young man about 21 years of age, well-liked and spoken very highly of, by all who knew him. His death will be mourned by a large following of warm friends. The sorrowing family receive the sympathy of the entire community during their time of affliction.
