Paul D. Fincham, 49, of Rockton, IL, died unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.
He was born January 5, 1959 in Davenport, IA, the son of Ronald and Mary Corbin Fincham. Paul was a 1977 graduate of Nevada High School and later was inducted into the Nevada High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was also a 1982 graduate of Coe College with a BA degree. He married Mary Nesheim on September 26, 1992 in Jamaica.
Paul was formerly employed by Landstar Transportation as the vice president. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeye's and Green Bay Packers. Paul loved being with his kids and family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Peter Catholic Church South Beloit, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Fincham of Rockton, IL; two children, Dana and Corbin both at home; his parents, Ron and Mary Fincham of Nevada, IA; brother, Rick (Annie) Fincham of Newton, IA; sisters, Rhonda (David) Stevenson of Goldfield, IA and Elizabeth (Kevin) Gibson of Ames, IA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in St. Peter Catholic Church 620 Blackhawk Blvd. South Beloit, IL, with Fr. Jerome P. Koutnik officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery, Rockton, IL. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. A Memorial Mass will also be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 29, 2008 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Nevada, IA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for establishing a memorial at a later date.
