Naomi Grace Villwock, 85, of Huxley, died Monday, Jan. 21, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Adams Funeral Home, with Pastor Kelly Smith officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Garden Cemetery in Ames.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at Adams Funeral Home.
Naomi Grace Villwock was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Plainview, Minn., to Edward and Melinda (Petrich) Dickmann. She married John Villwock Dec. 13, 1941, in Lake City, Minn. She worked as a nurse's aide at Mary Greeley Medical Center for about 15 years.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and American Business Women. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, golf, bowling and Bible study.
She is survived by four children, Claudette Peterson, of Huxley, Jay (Helena) Hadek, of Des Moines, Van (Teri) Villwock, of Ames, and Jill Christen, of Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Janice Hyatt, of Spokane, Wash.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of distant relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; one brother; her husband; and one grandson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
