Aryel Grandon, 15 months, of Surprise Ariz., died Tuesday. Jan 1. Services are pending at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care in Ames. Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.

Aryel Naomi-June Grandon, 15-month-old daughter of Charlotte Grandon, of Surprise, Ariz., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, in Surprise, Ariz. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at United Church of Christ-Congregational, at Sixth and Kellogg streets in Ames. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Aryel is survived by her mother, Charlotte Grandon; maternal grandparents, Rhonda Grandon, of Surprise, Ariz., and Tim and Kim Grandon, of Ames; aunt Charmaine (Mark )Larwick, of Mesquite, Texas; uncles, Nolan Dreesman, of Clarksville, and Brodee Dreesman, of Ames; maternal great-grandparents, Kae Pater, of Bayfield, Colo., Karen Johnson, of Cannon Falls, Minn., and James and Marilyn Grandon, of Waterloo; maternal great-great-grandmothers, Verda Pater, of Austin, Minn., and Evelyn Grandon, of New Hartford; father, DeShaun Phillips; paternal grandmother, Linda Phillips; uncles, Montreal, Terry and Corey Phillips; and paternal great-grandmother, May Greer, all of Waterloo; several great uncles, great aunts, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way in Ames.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family, and they will choose a charity in Aryel's honor.
