Kelli Diane Erickson, age 15, of Boone, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 at the Boone County Hospital of Boone.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Aug, 6, 2007 at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boone. Rev. Lindsay Watkins officiated. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery of Ogden.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Aug. 5, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 12th & Boone Streets in Boone from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family was present at the church from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation continued on Monday at the church from 8:00 a.m. to the time of service. Memorials may be made to the family to be used at their discretion.

Kelli was born on June 2, 1992 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Curtis Carroll Erickson and Marla Diane Ness. Kelli has lived all her life in Boone. She attended the Trinity Lutheran School of Boone up to the first half of eighth grade, then she transferred to the Boone Middle School to finish her eighth grade. During school she worked part time, for almost a year, with the Tic Toc Restaurant as a fry cook.

Kelli was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boone. She collected baseball cards, especially the Yankees, and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. She enjoyed riding her go carts and helping her father with his business, Lincoln Homes of Ogden. Kelli was a very caring and loving girl. She was always quick to help out her family and friends and to say "I love you".

Kelli is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, LaVerne Erickson.

She is survived by her parents, Curtis Erickson of Boone and Marla Ness of Boone; her sister, Nicole Erickson of Boone; her paternal grandmother, Carol Erickson of Ogden; her maternal grandparents, Eldon and Janet Ness of Boone; her uncles, Clair Erickson of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Chris Erickson of Des Moines, Iowa, Roger Ness of Arlington Heights, Illinois; her aunt, Debra Malek of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; her cousins, Andrea, Charles, Ruby Ann, Maxwell, Daniel, Whitney and Jordan and numerous other relatives.
