Renie Doolittle of Gilbert, Iowa died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 at Colonial Manor in Zearing, Iowa.
Renie was born in Manchester, England to Charles and Catherine Walker. She attended beauty school in Des Moines, Iowa and was a beautician working in the Ames/Gilbert area for nearly 50 years. She enjoyed customers from a wide range of backgrounds and enjoyed living in the central Iowa farming community. She was very close to her grandchildren as they were growing up.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Walker; father, Charles Walker; brother, Brian; mother-in-law, Mary Doolittle, Story City; and father-in-law, Clarence Doolittle, Story City.

Survivors include her husband, Delano Doolittle of Gilbert; daughter, Susan Larson Homer, Geneva, Iowa; brothers, Alan, Don, Colin, and David Walker of England; sisters, Alma Piccolo, Fresno, California; Myra Walker, Clovis, California, and Sandra Cottrell, England; grandchildren, Aaron M. Larson, Troutman, North Carolina, and Tara Larson, Charlotte, North Carolina; and great-grandchild, Coby James Larson (7), Troutman, North Carolina.
