Audrey Oueda Larson, 92, of Story, City and formerly of Roland, passed away Oct. 2, 2007 at Bethany Manor in Story City, where she had been a resident for 4 years. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at 10:00 am at Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland, Burial followed in the Roland Cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 5 p.m. to p.m. at Bethany Manor Chapel in Stow. City.

Audrey (Highland) Larson was born Nov. 23, 1914 in Roland, Iowa to Thor and Ida (Olson) Highland. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bergen Lutheran Church. She graduated from the Roland Consolidated Schools. She was later united in marriage to Floyd E. Larson on Feb. 25, 1935.

Audrey and Floyd made their home in Roland for 64 years. Audrey was a home maker, and periodically worked at the Roland Canning Factory and Ames
Cross. After Floyd's stroke, she attended to all his needs. She loved babies and enjoyed helping with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, William and wife Debbie Larson of Iowa City, Iowa; two daughters, Bette Jean and husband Bud Tolley of Sun City Center Florida, and Arlene and husband Fred Ingo of Pueblo, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Connie Mead of Colo, Iowa; and sister-in-law, Wilma Highland of Ames, Iowa.

Her parents; her husband Floyd; one sister, Thordis Christian; and two brothers, Olaf and George Highland, preceded Audrey in death.
