Albert P. Donhowe died Nov. 5, 2007 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services will be Friday Nov. 16, 2007 at 11:30 am. at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial of cremains will be at 11:00 a.m. at Story City Cemetery.
Albert was born March 3, 1922 in Story City to Peter and Olive (Marvick) Donhowe. He was a meat cutter for Alsagers and retired from Iowa State. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Albert was baptized and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran Church where he also ushered for many years and was a 1940 graduate of Story City High School. He volunteered at the RSVP for many years delivering meals on wheels. Albert enjoyed Roland-Story
sporting events and his family.He is survived by a brother, Herbert Donhowe of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Ann Lou Donhowe of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Laurentia Irwin and four brothers, Joseph, Charles, Paul and David.
Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Petri Lutheran Church or Cedar Place.
