THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, November 23, 2007.

Kenneth Mervin Johnson, 86, of Story City, died Thursday, Nov. 22, at Abbington on Grand in Ames. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial with military rites will follow in the Story City Cemetery.

Kenneth Mervin Johnson worked at the Iowa Department of Transportation in Ames for more than 30 years as an inspector. He married Dorothy Swenson Aug. 22, 1950.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Story City; a son, Michael Johnson, of Sparks, Nev.; a grandson, Rob; and two nieces, Elaine (Bill) Moran and Linda (Kim) Krouse.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is entrusted with arrangements.
