Ruth Ann Gertsen, 68, of Story City, died Thursday, Nov. 8, at home. Funeral services are pending with Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

Ruth Ann Gertsen, 68, of Story City, died Thursday, Nov. 8, at her home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City.

Ruth Ann Gertsen was born June 8, 1939, in Boone, to George and Gertrude (Woolheiser) Kokemiller. She worked for more than 40 years at the Iowa Department of Transportation in Ames.

She is survived by one daughter, Kim (Paul) Mott, of Story City; two grandchildren, P.J. and Danielle; and one brother, Fred (Shirley) Kokemiller, of Madrid.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Kokemiller; and one sister, Gretchen Alvestad.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.
