Robert Allan Johnson, 59, of Colo, died Saturday, Nov. 3, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada.

Bob was born on April 19, 1948, in Fremont, Neb., to Warren and Dorothy (Benjamin) Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army. On June 7, 1971, Bob married Becky Stoeffler in Fremont, Neb. He had been employed as a welder for Todd and Sargent in Ames and Ditch Witch. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.

Bob is survived by his wife Becky, of Colo; three sons, Dennis Stoeffler, of Walnut, Randy Stoeffler, of Colo, and Robert E. Johnson, of Anita; a sister Carol Kelsey, of Des Moines; and six grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Judy Nelson.

A memorial fund has been established.

Chet Ryan Mortuary has been entrusted with Bob and his family.
