Pearl Pauline Stenson, 96 of Nevada died on Saturday, October 27 at Story County Medical Center in Nevada. Funeral services were on Wednesday, October 31 at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
Pearl was born on July 30, 1911 in Madrid, Iowa. On February 23, 1936, she married Fredrick W. Stenson in Sheldahl. Pearl was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Pearl enjoyed fishing and sewing.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Gyl Stenson of Ames; 2 grandchildren Larry Tuma and Jolene Walls; 3 great grandchildren Michael Bolin, Ashley and Crystal Walls; and a great great grandson Kayden Alleman.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on February 20, 1991, 3 brothers Bill, LeRoy and Ralph Miller and a sister Doris Smith.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
A memorial fund has been established in Pearl's name.
