Pearl Stenson, 96, of Nevada, died on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Story County Medical Center, Nevada.

Funeral services are pending with Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services.

Pearl Pauline Stenson, 96, of Nevada, died Saturday, Oct. 27, at Story County Medical Center in Nevada. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at First United Methodist Church in Nevada with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Pearl Pauline Stenson was born July 30, 1911, in Madrid. She married Fredrick W. Stenson Feb. 23, 1936, in Sheldahl. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed fishing and sewing.

She is survived by one daughter, Gyl Stenson, of Ames; two grandchildren, Larry Tuma and Jolene Walls; three great-grandchildren, Michael Bolin, Ashley and Crystal Walls; and a great-great-grandson, Kayden Alleman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 20, 1991; three brothers, Bill, LeRoy and Ralph Miller; and a sister, Doris Smith.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

A memorial fund has been established in Pearl's name.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
