THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, October 13, 2007.

William P. Jensen, 93, of Bloomington, Minn., died Tuesday, Oct. 9. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Road, in Bloomington. Internment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

William P. Jensen was born Jan. 3, 1914, in Ames. He was a retired 30-year executive at 3M where he worked closely with the top executives in public relations and marketing. He served in the Army Supply Division during World War II, and graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in journalism and marketing. He met his wife, Gaynold, at ISU. She preceded him in death.

He was a person who always looked to the bright side of any situation. Not only did he live that example in life but death as well. Those who knew him will miss him - his humor, his graciousness and his love of life.

Visitation will be one-half hour prior to the service Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the church.

Memorials are preferred to Normandale Lutheran Church.

Gill Brothers of Bloomington, Minn., is entrusted with the arrangements.
