AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, October 5, 2007.

Lynne R. Ross, 58, of Ames, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Israel Family Hospice House. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Lynne Ross was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Harlan, to Ival and Marjorie (Madson) Custer. She married Robert O. Ross May 7, 1972, in Harlan.

She was a graduate of Iowa State University and was employed there in the Veterinary Medicine College, Biomedical Sciences Department, for 25 years.

She is survived by her husband, Robert O. Ross, of Ames; two daughters, Dayna R. (John) Sprecher, of Ogden, and Erin B. (Eric) Ross-Johnson, of Johnston; one son, Ryan R. Ross, of Ames; one granddaughter, Sheridan Johnson, of Johnston; and one sister, Joan (Richard) Waller, of Lincoln, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Thomas Custer.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Israel Family Hospice House.
