Rose Heubner, 90, of Ames, died Thursday, Sept. 13. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames with Pastor Randy Abell officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Rose Heubner was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Lincoln, Neb., to William and Mary Schuman. She married Franklin Heubner Sr. Nov. 19, 1938, in Lincoln, Neb. They moved to Ames in 1955.

She had been employed by Malander 9th Street Grocery, Oslund Drugstore and Fastco Drugstore, retiring in 1981. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and the Sarah Circle. She enjoyed golfing and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn (David) Coe, of Ames; one son, Franklin (Kris) Heubner, of Nevada; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and all of her siblings.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Stevens Memorial Chapel.
