Jacqueline (Jackie) Lilly Scott, 64, of Nevada, Iowa, formerly of Fredericksburg, Iowa, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2007, surrounded by her family.

Jackie was born on March 29, 1943 in Denver, Colorado, to Ella and Bill Hunden. On March 28, 1962, she married Richard Scott in New Hampton, Iowa. This union was blessed with three daughters, Rebecca, Deborah, and Cynthia.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard (Scotty); three daughters, Becky (Bob) Franzen of West Salem, Wisconsin, Debby (Greg) Zabel of Waterloo, Iowa, and Cindy Scott of Alexandria, Virginia; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicole and Holly Franzen and Jamie and Tim Zabel; four brothers, Bill (Kathy) Hunden of Corona, California, Bob and Gene Hunden of Garden Valley, California, and Jerry Hunden of

Deming, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents.

Jackie will always be remembered for her quick wit and ability to bring joy to all that knew her. She enjoyed all crafts and was an avid and talented seamstress and quilter. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alpha-1 Foundation in loving memory of Jackie.

Visitation was held Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa. Funeral services were held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames, Iowa, on Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Interment will be held in New Hampton, Iowa, at a later date for family.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
