Bryan K. Thompson, 50, of Story City, died Tuesday, July 3, at his home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City.

Bryan K. Thompson was born Aug. 2, 1956, in Story City, to B. James and Joyce (Chelsvig) Thompson. He married Gayla Gandrup in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Gayla; one daughter, Jenscie, and one son, Bryttan, both at home; his mother, Joyce Thompson, of Ames; two brothers, Bradley, of Ames, and Bruce, of Ellsworth; and one sister, JoLayne Weber, of San Marcos, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim, and one nephew, Jeremy Thompson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
